About the Food and Beverage Association

Greetings from the Representative Director
We aim to help foreigners seize opportunities in Japanese society and at the same time contribute to the development of Japanese society.
The Japan Food and Beverage Foreign Employment Association, a general incorporated association, is the first registered support organization in the industry to specialize in the restaurant, accommodation, food and beverage manufacturing, and nursing care businesses.
Currently in Japan, a shortage of human resources has led to some inappropriate employment environments, which is having a negative impact on the image of the industry as a whole.
Through the activities of our association, we feel that it is necessary to build a framework for the industry as a whole to employ foreign personnel appropriately, rather than relying solely on the corporate efforts of individual receiving organizations (companies), and to make our industry the one chosen by talented overseas talent.
With the establishment of this organization, we will continue to promote compliance and improve service quality by providing appropriate employment of foreigners in the industry and employment support and education, and will continue to carry out activities that will lead to the revitalization of the entire industry.

He has been in the human resources industry for over 20 years, including serving as an executive officer at the major staffing agency Goodwill Co., Ltd. In 2019, he participated in the launch of the Japan Food and Beverage Association for Foreign Employment as a director, and was appointed representative director in May 2024. He also serves as a director of Inplay Co., Ltd. and five other group companies.

He worked for a recruitment service company specializing in the restaurant industry for 20 years, where he was involved in launching recruitment media and serving as business manager.
In 2019, following the implementation of the Specified Skilled Worker System, he participated as a founding member of the Japan Association for Foreign Employment in the Food and Beverage Industry, and currently serves as its director and secretary general.

He is also focusing on the development of non-alcoholic beverages.

In 2000, he joined Gurunavi Inc., where he has been involved in the introduction of ICT to the restaurant industry for over 20 years as an executive officer and director of affiliated companies, including the launch of B2B and promotion businesses. In 2017, he founded Vitalize Inc., where he currently works.

After registering as a lawyer in 2011, he has consistently specialized in legal matters related to the food and beverage industry. Since 2019, he has run his own restaurant, and has been in his current position since 2022.
He also serves as an outside director of Tempos Holdings Co., Ltd. and other executives of food and beverage companies.
