Reason for joining the company
During university, I was part of an NPO that planned and ran internships at Japanese companies for overseas students. While interacting with people from various countries, I realized that I loved the moments when I could learn new things and encounter new ways of thinking through global interactions. This experience sparked my interest in my current job.
While job hunting, I learned about the Japan Restaurant and Beverage Foreign Employment Association and was impressed by their support for foreigners working in Japan under the Specified Skilled Worker System. In particular, I felt that by matching companies with foreign talent and providing support after they joined the company, I could realize the "joy of global exchange" that I felt as a student, so I joined the company as a new graduate in 2023.

What makes the job rewarding and interesting
What makes my job rewarding is seeing specified skilled workers enjoying their work after actually starting work, or when companies tell me things like, "The person we introduced is working really hard," or "Things on site have become smoother," which makes me realize that I'm providing good support to both the company and the foreign talent, and those are moments when I feel really glad to be doing this job.
Also, by coming into contact with the cultures and ways of thinking of different countries every day and providing support while understanding the differences in working styles and lifestyles, I'm required to respond from the other person's perspective rather than just going through the procedures, which is another interesting part of the job.

Teamwork across departments
One of the great attractions of our association is the environment where we can respect and cooperate with each other, regardless of age, nationality, or gender. I'm a young employee, but my seniors and superiors listen carefully to my opinions, so I feel like the atmosphere is very open.
There is also a lot of interaction across departmental boundaries, and we hold an internal social gathering called the "Yokotsuna Kai" once a month to deepen connections with other departments. At our association, our services to customers are made possible by the connection between all of our departments: sales activities, visa and other residence management, settlement support, and education. I believe that it is precisely because of this collaboration between all departments that we are able to provide such high-quality service.

Future challenges
In the future, I would like to expand the range of areas and industries that I provide support to, so that I can solve the human resources issues of more companies through the employment of foreign nationals with specified skills. I would be happy to become a reliable presence that companies think, "Whenever I have a problem, I can just consult Moritomo and he'll solve it."
At the same time, I would like to further hone my own work skills and take on the challenge of becoming a senior employee that junior employees and new employees can rely on.

Message to job seekers
I joined our association as its first new graduate, and started without any work experience. However, I was given a variety of responsibilities early on, and I have felt a great deal of growth over the past two and a half years.
I think this is an environment with plenty to learn and grow for people who enjoy global exchange or are interested in supporting foreign staff. Your opinions are listened to regardless of age or nationality, and there is active interaction across departments. To further boost our association's success, I would be thrilled if university students and young employees would take an interest!
