Director, Support Division, Japan Association for Foreign Employment in the Food and Beverage Industry


Having worked at Japan's largest supervising organization since the "training program" era, the predecessor to the current technical intern training program, he has been involved in the education, guidance, and development of support schemes for overseas personnel, and has held various positions such as on-site supervisor and representative. With 18 years of experience in the overseas personnel business, he has a track record of guiding over 10,000 global personnel, including providing education upon entry into Japan for technical interns.

After working in an administrative role at a major foreign-owned manufacturer, she worked for a company that dispatches interpreters and translators, handling labor-related procedures and training new employees. Through her experience in a multinational workplace, she developed a strong desire to support foreigners working in Japan, overcoming language and cultural differences. Currently, she works as an instructor in human resource development, supporting the growth and retention of skilled workers.

Frequently asked questions

What kind of content is covered in training programs for foreign personnel?

During the training, participants will learn practical knowledge necessary for living and working in Japan, taking into account the differences in ways of thinking and culture between their home country and Japan.

The content is comprised of the following eight themes, and the training emphasizes an "output-oriented" approach, where participants think for themselves and express their opinions, rather than simply listening.

• Attitude (work ethic and values)

・Lifestyle (manners and customs)

• Work (on-site rules, sense of responsibility)

• Money (salary, taxes, insurance)

- Sex (gender harassment)

• Laws (residence status and rules)

・Troubleshooting (How to consult)

• Crime prevention and disaster preparedness (disaster response, crime prevention)

Are the teaching materials and textbooks translated? Do they include phonetic readings (furigana)?

Yes, the text is presented in both Japanese and English, and all kanji characters have furigana (phonetic readings). We will also be gradually expanding our translation support to other languages in the future.

What kind of content can be learned in corporate onboarding training (management training)?

This presentation will focus on the differences in work culture between Japanese and foreigners, explaining communication tips and providing concrete examples to prevent common workplace problems.

We provide practical and immediately applicable content for managers and team leaders.

Are there any resources available to help prepare for the skills assessment test or to take practice exams?

Yes, we offer the following exam preparation courses about three times a year, and they include mock exams.

Yes, we can accommodate that. For customized training programs, we can offer both in-person and online options.

In addition, archived videos of lectures from our regularly held exam preparation courses are available for viewing. We have established a flexible system that can be used by people who live far away or who have difficulty adjusting their schedules.

Can we request customized training programs for each company?

Yes, we can accommodate that. We will flexibly design the training content, duration, and cost to meet your company's needs. The training period can range from a minimum of 120 minutes to a maximum of two weeks, and we will propose the optimal plan based on a preliminary consultation.

How long is the preparation period required before conducting the training?

Depending on the content and scale of the training, please apply at least two months before your desired date. Currently, we are receiving many requests, and depending on the content, it may take three months or more. Please contact us as soon as possible.

How many people can you accommodate in a single training session?

Depending on the venue and training format, we can generally accommodate up to 30-50 participants per session. Please contact us for details.
