The 5th Supporter Exchange Meeting - Nara Sightseeing Tour - will be held!

We will be holding our 5th Supporter Exchange Meeting - Nara Sightseeing Tour - on Wednesday, October 18th! This will be the first time we've held this event in the Kansai area. This time, we'll be having a Japanese cultural experience! We're planning to visit the Great Buddha of Todaiji Temple and try our hand at pottery making!

[Schedule] 11:00 Meet at Kintetsu Nara Station

We will head towards Todaiji Temple while strolling through Naramachi and Nara Park. Naramachi is a tourist destination lined with traditional Japanese townhouses, stylish cafes, and general stores. Nara Park is home to many deer, and you can feed them "shika senbei" (deer crackers)!

11:45 Arrive at Todaiji Temple. Pass through the Great South Gate of Todaiji Temple and visit the Great Buddha Hall of Todaiji Temple! We will go to see the Great Buddha of Nara, a World Heritage Site.

13:00 Lunch We plan to eat "Kamameshi," a traditional Japanese dish. Kamameshi is rice cooked with soy sauce, mirin, and other ingredients, and topped with ingredients such as chicken and mushrooms.

15:30 Arrive at Naramachi Manyo Pottery Studio . At Naramachi Manyo Pottery Studio, you'll experience pottery making! (Shaping clay into plates, cups, and other objects and firing them in a kiln to create pottery.) You can choose what you want to make from bowls, teacups, medium-sized plates, and more.

17:00 Pottery experience ends and disbands

If you want to wear a kimono, rent one at a kimono rental shop and stroll around the city of Nara! The traditional streets of Naramachi and Todaiji Temple are the perfect place to take photos wearing a kimono.
