[ We, the registered support organization, provide nine types of mandatory support to those working on specific skills visas. This is an introduction to the day of entry when we provided airport transportation and daily life support (accompanying people for official procedures, etc.) .
This time, we'll be introducing a day in the life of Shehan, who came to Japan from Sri Lanka and started working at a bakery in Chiba Prefecture.

Shehan
Country of Origin: Sri Lanka Age: 29
He has worked in a Japanese bakery for nearly five years and has a strong passion for bread making!
09:00 Arrive at Narita Airport!
After about 10 hours from Sri Lanka, we arrived at Narita Airport! When I pointed the camera at Shehan, his expression was a little stiff, perhaps due to nervousness. Thank you for your hard work on the long flight!

Welcome to Japan!
09:15 Heading to Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, my future base of operations!
We were now heading to Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, where Shehan's new bakery is located. Shehan had returned to Sri Lanka temporarily to apply for a visa, but this was his second visit to Japan, so he was familiar with Japan and found the train I needed to take before I did and showed me the way there...! (laughs)
10:30 Complete moving-in procedures at city hall
I arrived at the city hall! I filled out the moving-in notification form while checking my new address on my phone. Some of the documents contained difficult Japanese, but I was able to fill them out smoothly using my knowledge from living in Japan for the past five years! 👏

13:00 Open an account at the bank
We drove about 30 minutes from City Hall to the bank designated by the company to open an account. As I noticed when filling out the paperwork at City Hall, Shehan's Japanese comprehension was excellent, and he was able to communicate with the bank staff and complete the procedures on the tablet without any difficulty! ✨

Shehan listens to the story with good posture and seriousness
14:30 Lunch at the restaurant where I work
We arrived at the bakery where we work, " Saffron Kashiwanoha Branch "! When we entered the store, there were many delicious breads lined up, and a wonderful smell filled the store. Since we had some time before our appointment with the store manager, we decided to have some bread for lunch! All the breads looked delicious, and Shehan and I had a hard time choosing what to eat (^^)

Which one should I choose?

Pose with the bread you chose📸✨
As we were eating bread and chatting, Shehan showed me photos of the bread he had made on his smartphone!
The folder contained about 1,000 photos of bread! (゚д゚)

It is organized into folders such as "preparation" and "baking."
The cooking process, such as baking time and temperature, is also recorded.
Shehan's passion for bread making and eagerness to learn really came through!
15:00 Greetings to your employer
Finally, I was greeted by the manager and his wife of the new workplace, and they warmly welcomed me! After the exciting self-introduction, I was given confirmation of my first day at work and information about the job. Finally, I received the keys to my new apartment and headed to Shehan's new place!

16:00 Check in!
I moved into an apartment provided by my employer. While I was checking the property for any defects based on the checklist, a Myanmar man named Cho, who lives on the floor below me, came to visit! (Cho is also supported by our association, so I'm familiar with him.)

Cho is already working at Saffron Kashiwanoha branch, and is a senior colleague of Shehan's! Although it was their first meeting, the two had a lively conversation in Japanese and immediately hit it off, saying, "Let's have dinner together!" in Cho's room afterwards. Hats off to the excellent communication skills of these two!
16:30 Thank you for your long-awaited return to Japan!
After checking in at the time of moving in, we had planned to go out in the car to buy a bicycle, curtains, etc., but Cho, who we hit it off with, said, "I have the day off work tomorrow, so I'll take you there!"
Cho-san, who knows the area well, is a great guide! I was happy to see him as a reliable senior (^^)

It's heartwarming to see how close the two are even though it's their first meeting!
We will continue to wholeheartedly support Shehan, who wants to continue working at a Japanese bakery for a long time, and will support him so that he can live in Japan with peace of mind!
I'll be seeing you again in 3 months for a regular appointment!
